London 15th September 2014: InstaDIGITAL®, the hosted VOD and OTT Service Provider, and DivX LLC, a leading provider of next-generation digital video solutions, are showcasing the integration of DivX® OmniView™ into the instaDIGITAL® platform at IBC2014 between 12th-16th September 2014.
Working with the DivX OmniView team, instaDIGITAL® has integrated DivX® DRM and Secure Players into their instaPLAYER providing an advanced streaming experience option on Android, iOS and Web. This also provides instaDIGITAL® customers with the option to take advantage of the flexible and MPAA-approved DivX DRM.
With support for 4K and advanced streaming features, such as multi-language subtitles and audio tracks, chapter points and more, DivX OmniView enables OTT services to differentiate their experience, as well as reduce operating costs using HEVC, 4K and DASH. In addition, with major IC and CE manufacturers consistently licensing the latest DivX technology, DivX OmniView enables operators to extend audience reach.
The instaDIGITAL® Platform consists of 4 interlocking tools. Individually these tools provide a unique and robust way of handling content. Combined they create the hosted VOD and OTT platform that your customers have always demanded!
• InstaLIBRARY takes feeds from Content Providers and validates and catalogues the data. This data is then made available for use in storefronts through an API and a common file format, for ease of integration across systems.
• InstaDRM takes the content and applies DRM (including DivX) to ensure the protection of your content.
• InstaSTOREFRONT allows your customers to access their accounts, share info on Social Media and browse through a fully branded store front on their device of choice.
• InstaPLAYER allows you to playback your DRM protected content on Android, iOS or Web devices.
Ed Pippin, CEO, instaDIGITAL® said, “InstaDIGITAL® believes that a great customer experience is paramount in providing a world class VOD or OTT solution and with the integration of the DivX® OmniView® Secure Players and DivX® DRM into the instaDIGITAL® platform it allows our customers to reach new markets and take advantage of the fact that there are over 1 billion DivX enabled devices that have shipped worldwide from major manufacturers.”
